There are lots of natural anxiety remedies for dogs and we’ve crammed many of them into our Calm & Relaxed dog food range. Chamomile, for instance - used for centuries as a natural relaxation aid; sweet potato which contains ‘anti-stress’ B vitamins; and hemp, known to naturally lower stress levels. Turkey (as mentioned) also contains L-tryptophan, an amino-acid that helps release the happy hormone, serotonin. Infused into our delicious grain-free dog food and healthy treats, these natural calming aids will have your dog feeling chilled and relaxed in no time.
Generally dogs find red meat harder to digest, along with fatty, sugary foods and artificial ingredients. Pooches with sensitive tummies need gently digestible foods: fish, such as salmon, chicken, peas and green beans, for example. Foods such as apple pulp and sweet potato also contain fibre for better, firmer poops!
Your dog's diet brings a wide range of extra nutrients, vitamins and minerals into their body, which help support their overall health and wellbeing - including their skin and coat! Plus, their skin and coat health is linked directly to their gut microbiome, which plays a HUGE role in keeping their skin and coat healthy. Our Skin & Coat range is packed with natural ingredients that have been specifically selected for their skin and coat boosting properties. Herring, for example, is rich in essential fatty acids that help support skin barrier function and help prevent itching and scratching. Collagen is a structural protein that is essential for healthy skin. Linseed, as well as our Salmon Oil add-on, are packed with omega-3 fatty acids which your dog's body can't produce on its own, and they add necessary moisture and richness to the skin. As well as all this, it's packed with natural pre- and probiotics to keep their gut happy!
When it comes to our Joint Care range, we make sure to use specially selected ingredients that are known for their properties that support joint and mobility health. These include Salmon, a rich source of omega-3 essential fatty acids (EFAs) that are vital for joint well-being, Green Lipped Muscle, Rose Hip, Linseed and Alfalfa, which is known for supporting joint health and providing relief from arthritis.
Protein can do a lot of good for dogs, but more specifically can support areas where they might need a little extra help! A high protein diet for dogs can help support everything from muscle growth, immune strength, gut resilience, skin and coat health and give them the energy they need to live their best life!
For dogs needing to get back onto a healthy weight, they need a diet that's still packed with everything else they need in terms of nutrients, vitamins and minerals, but with not so many calories.
Our Weight Loss range focuses on low-calorie foods that include lean protein and lots of vegetables to help keep pooches full. This aims to help dogs suffering from obesity to gradually get back to a healthy weight. Our Low Fat range contains our foods that are naturally lower in calories, which may help dogs struggling with their weight to support their weight management and maintain a healthy weight.
