One of the most common reasons for a visit to the vet is the ‘itchy dog’. For many owners, itching and skin disease is an ongoing problem that they struggle to manage. Similarly, dogs with ongoing stomach issues, including vomiting and diarrhoea are also common problems which are hugely frustrating for owner and dog alike.
In both scenarios, food allergies could be at play. Food allergies are common and not always easily diagnosed. While their symptoms are tricky to manage at times, avoiding food allergens does not have to be complicated.
When a dog has a food allergy or intolerance, the most important things is to get them onto the right diet. The aim of a sensitivity diet is to reduce the frequency and severity of the dog’s signs, whether they be dermatological, gastrointestinal or both.

Natural ingredients with nutritional science, to elevate your pet’s health and happiness. 100% transparency, 'nothing to hide' recipes, and ethical sourcing are core to our mission. We're a small (but mighty) team of pet lovers – and if we wouldn’t give it to our own dogs, we don’t make it.
Our hepatic food is designed for those with diagnosed liver disease including liver failure and dogs with portosystemic shunts.
Many dogs have grain intolerances, but owners struggle to find them a diet if they develop a medical issue and need a prescription dog food as many prescription diets contain grain. This grain free hepatic diet is the perfect solution for dogs with liver disease, who also happen to struggle with digesting grains. Grains do not form a natural part of the canine diet and as a result, many dogs struggle to digest grains. Intolerance to grains can manifest in many ways such as digestive discomfort, itchy skin and sub-optimal health.
When the liver is damaged, it struggles to process too much protein. This means it is important to steer clear of things like red meat and offal. Rather, sticking to non-animal protein sources such as peas and eggs, as this reduces the level of ammonia build-up to prevent neurological signs developing and is much better tolerated.
We appreciate that patients with liver disease often struggle with nausea and food aversions. That's why we've created this highly palatable diet, enriched with tasty fats, to create an irresistible meal.
