Turkey & Duck have been carefully selected as high-quality proteins for lean muscle maintenance, while Chicken broth offers a tasty hydration hit, and boosts aroma and flavour for any fussy puss.
Other natural ingredients include:
- Salmon Oil & Camelina Oil which are rich in omega 3 for healthy skin & a gorgeously glossy coat.
- Psyllium Husk, Apple, & Yucca as a natural fibre and botanical blend to support healthy digestion.

The quantities in the feeding table are meant as a rough guide. The correct amount of food will depend on your cat's level of activity, breed, age, and if they’re overweight or underweight. At Purr & Meow we have a few fundamental philosophies: Ingredients shouldn’t be hidden- check your labels! The Big Pet Food brands sell cat food pouches that list Meat & Animal Derivatives. You wouldn’t buy a chicken breast that’s 4% Chicken, so why give it to your cat? Cat food should never ever have sugar in! Big Pet Food brands add sugar to their pouches to improve the appearance. We put pet health first so we’ll never add sugar to your cat’s food.
Switch gradually over 8 days to minimise digestive upset. Start by mixing a small amount of the new food with the current food and slowly increase the proportion each day until your cat is eating only the new diet. If your cat develops vomiting, diarrhoea, or refuses to eat, slow the transition or seek veterinary advice.
Not currently. The pet food industry uses by product from the human food chain- that means as an industry we don’t farm any protein sources directly. As there currently isn’t enough demand in human food for organic meat, the majority of by product available to the pet food industry isn’t organic currently.
Absolutely! Cats are carnivores and can find grain hard to digest, we focus on high quality protein sources rather than fillers and any hidden ingredients.
The dry food packaging isn’t currently recycled and it's something that we're definitely working on. We’re starting with wet food pouches so that we can tackle the biggest problem first. A 1.5kg bag of dry food usually lasts around 3 weeks.
This food is tailored to adult cats 1+. It is still suitable to be fed to cats over 7 years old. If your cat is 7 years+ or a senior cat, cats require less energy as they become more sedentary so you may want to lessen your daily feed so that the cat does not gain weight. This food is not recommended for kittens less than 1 year and they need a specific kitten diet which is higher in protein and fat levels.
Both wet and dry food can provide complete nutrition when they're labelled as complete and balanced. Wet food contains more moisture, which helps support hydration , while dry food is convenient, has a longer shelf life once opened, and can be left out for longer periods. Purr & Meow can be fed as a mixed diet of wet and dry to offer you pet more variation.
