FAQ'S
Is it Hypoallergenic?
Here at Pooch and Mutt we are all about eradicating all the usual nasties that can affect dogs with allergies and intolerances. We're junk-free, natural and free from any preservatives, chemicals or artificial colourings. See each individual product page labels for more specific information.
Why Grain-free?
The best thing to feed your dog is the best food that you can afford, that your dog looks good on, behaves well on and is generally happy with. At Pooch & Mutt we recommend that your dog is fed on a grain-free dog food. Whilst there are arguments both ways on whether or not dogs can digest grain, what we know for sure is that most dogs do not do well on a diet high in grains such as wheat. The foods that do contain grain tend to contain a high level of grain, so it is best to stick to grain-free dog food.
Will my dog get all the nutrition they need?
Yes! All of our food has been carefully tested and approved by nutritionists and vets to create a trusted product your pooches love.
Where is your food sourced from?
Our wet food is manufactured in the UK with fresh meat and natural fruit & veggies sourced locally from British farms, helping to reduce our carbon footprint and support local farmers. Our dry food is manufactured by our long term partners in the Czech Republic. Our suppliers for animal products are all committed with the compliance of EC Regulations regarding animal welfare. In addition, in accordance with the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Standard, a procedure has been implemented for approving suppliers and for monitoring suppliers performance. This procedure includes audits to suppliers to verify on-site the full observance of EC regulations regarding quality, food safety, environment and animal welfare. Our European manufacturers are committed to not only providing the highest quality food for our beloved pets, but are also taking steps to become Europe’s most environmentally friendly pet food manufacturer. They are a founding member of the Pet Sustainability Coalition, with a goal to have all products in recyclable packaging by 2025.
