In honour of Deaf Awareness Week, Pooch & Mutt are celebrating the incredible dogs who bring sound, safety, and confidence to people living with hearing loss.
What we’re doing
For every order placed on 9th and 10th May 2026, we’ll donate treats to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People - with a minimum commitment to donate 10k packs of treats - our way of giving back to their inspiring team and the amazing dogs that change lives every day.
How we’re helping
This weekend, Pooch & Mutt will gift 50g bags of either our Health & Digestion or Calm & Relaxed Treats to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, with a minimum commitment to send 10,000 bags of treats
These treats will support the training and wellbeing of hearing dogs as they prepare to transform lives.
If you’re thinking of stocking up, now is the perfect time to treat your dog, while helping support these incredible dogs, their team, and the people who rely on them.

Why it matters
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People understands that deafness affects far more than hearing. It can impact mental health, independence, relationships, and personal safety.
Their work helps people reconnect with the world around them - offering companionship, confidence, and greater freedom through expertly trained hearing dogs.
Offering several services, they say, ‘hearing loss isn’t one size fits all’. It can affect anyone, at any age, and whilst hearing aids can help some people, they’re not the only solution available.
Carefully matching individuals with the right type of dog - whether that’s a hearing dog, sound support dog, or companion dog - they ensure each partnership truly fits the person’s needs.
Their online tools also help people explore options, apply for a dog, or simply start a conversation about what support might be right for them.
They also recognise the need for community. Sometimes the best support is simply someone who understands.

That’s why they offer emotional and practical support through an online Help Desk, webinars, and community sessions led by volunteers.
Providing a comprehensive hub of information for deaf people and their loved ones, they offer workplace advice and daily living tips, guidance on hearing aids, implants, lip-reading, and useful technology.
It can be overwhelming to know where to start, but Hearing Dogs for Deaf People brings everything together in one accessible place.
Not only do they provide such incredible support to so many people suffering from hearing loss (5968 people from 2023-2024, if we’re being precise!), but they work hard to raise public awareness, collaborating with other organisations to spread their knowledge, encourage best practice, and improve polices.
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, you’re truly inspirational. If you’d like to read more about the work that they do, please visit their website.
And don’t forget to get involved this weekend - we can’t wait to send LOTS of treats their way.
