Our planet friendly poo bags are made up of 75% post consumer recycled plastic: 50% from recycled plastic bottles and 25% from a bio-renewable resin made using waste oyster shell generated by the maricultural industry.

Our Poo Bags ARE NOT biodegradable or compostable, and that's because the best way to ensure that your biodegradable/compostable poo bag actually does what it's supposed to, is to set up a dog waste only composting bin in your garden, which for many people is unrealistic, and most of the time (if you're a good human and responsible dog owner) your poo bags end up in the bin. Biodegradable bags require LOTS of oxygen for breakdown to occur, which is sparse when buried in a mountain of landfill (exactly where your poo bag ends up if you bin it) and in this case, the poo bag remains intact exactly like a plastic bag. Compostable poo bags are made from plant-based ingredients such as vegetable or corn starch, which sounds planet friendly, right? Unless you are planning on starting your own compost heap in the garden, most local authorities cannot accept compostable poo bags with food and garden waste. So what happens to the poop bags? You've guessed it, back in landfill.
