The Fish Hide used in our Fish Chews is a waste product from the human food industry. This means the source of fish is more sustainable - as it would otherwise go to waste!
Firstly, Fish Hide is made from 100% natural ingredients - meaning no chemicals are used during the production process (unlike rawhide). The production process is approved by vets, and uses a rolling technique. This not only makes the Fish Chew long-lasting, but also means there's no sharp shards present that could be harmful to your dog. A dangerous issue that occurs in rawhide. Finally, as the chew is made from Fish Skin rather than meat - it's much easier to digest than rawhide.

No, Fish Hide is typically completely natural and is made from 100% dried fish skin. Rawhide on the other hand is a by product of leather making, and isn't actually classed as edible 'food', and instead is simply just for chewing. But of course, how should we expect our dogs to know not to swallow what they're chewing?
And with rawhide being full of additives and chemicals, and with the ability to cause digestive obstruction, it's just a complete no-go. Alternatively, fish hide is a natural and completely safe way for your dog to get in a long chewing sesh.
